What Is IEEE WIE ESSTHS AG

Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and inspiring young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In this spirit, the IEEE WIE ESSTHS Affinity Group, founded in 2021, has grown into a dynamic community of over 230 members. We are committed to empowering women in STEM by fostering inclusivity, developing technical and leadership skills, and creating meaningful social impact within our university and beyond.

IEEE ESSTHS Student Branch

IEEE ESSTHS Student Branch, founded in 2020, is home to more than 280 members, making it the largest Student Branch in Sousse, and 7th in Tunisia Section. It encompasses 5 Technical Chapters: AESS, CS, IAS, PES, RAS, IES, and 2 Affinity Groups: SIGHT & WIE. We have had the honor of receiving more than 12 worldwide IEEE Awards across all fields through the dedication and commitment of each of our members.

A Day with WIE

A Day With WIE is an inspiring experience that highlights the daily journey,challenges, and successes of women in different fields. By spending a dayalongside them, participants gain a deeper understanding of their roles,Passions, and impact, while celebrating their strength, resilience, and contributions to society.

Empower Her

A marathon will be organized in October, in collaboration with an association ,to support women with cancer. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the association as part of Octobre Rose

SADA

SADA is a creative and cultural competition designed for children, aiming to develop their talents and self-expression through various disciplines such as singing, drawing and theater. This event provides young participants with a unique platform to showcase their creativity, share their passions, and inspireone another while enjoying an educational and entertaining experience.

Bright Sparks

The IEEE WIE ESSTHS Affinity Group organized an educational workshop entitled Bright Sparks at Frada M’saken School, aiming to introduce young students to the world of energy and its importance in everyday life. This initiative was part of our mission to inspire the next generation through interactive learning experiences.

Robokids

Robokids was an educational event that brought together 40 you participants to explore the fields of technology and innovation. The program featured two training sessions: AI in Robotics and SolidWorks, providing the children with foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence and 3D design.The event concluded with a robotics competition, offering participants the opportunity to apply what they had learned in a practical and engaging manner.

React Bootcamp

This first session was focused on getting familiar with React, a JavaScript library developed by Meta, widely used to build interactive user interfaces. The goal was to understand what React is, set up the development environment, and create a first basic component.
